Diplomatic Dialogue with Ambassador Sangpyo Suh, Consul General, Republic of Korea

On June 5th, 2024, the SEUSKCC, in collaboration with the Atlanta Council on International Relations (ACIR), hosted a Diplomatic/Economic Dialogue reception with Ambassador Sangpyo Suh, Consul General of South Korea in Atlanta. The event took place at Aprio LLP and was attended by over 80 people, including significant figures from local government and notable business leaders such as Stuart Countess, CEO of Kia Georgia.

  1. Southeast US-Korea Economic Forum: Scheduled for August 22-23, this forum will be held in Atlanta, presenting a prime opportunity for furthering economic ties between the Southeast U.S. and Korea.
  2. Partner with Korea Act: Ambassador Suh discussed the importance of this bill, which promotes non-immigrant visas and should be sponsored at both the U.S. House and Senate levels. This act aims to enhance strategic economic cooperation between the U.S. and Korea, leading to significant economic development.
